Jeans dedication presentation
On Sunday 1st January at Easington Lane IM Church Jean Merton our Minister and current President was presented with a gift from Kay White on behalf of the Jam Club as a very big thank you for her commitment, dedication and for serving God in this way over a long period of time
The Jam Club felt it was nessacary to recognise all the efforts Jean has put in over the years
Jean has been involved in the Jam Club (and the former Sunday School ) for over the past 70 years
From a Pupil , Youth Club leader and Teacher , Superintendent and finally as Treasurer
Over the years Jean has impacted so many young people’s lives with the love , encouragement and support that God has provided her with allowing her to reprocate it to others
Jeans witness and passion to get young people’s lives influenced by Jesus is admirable and we will never know how her actions and lessons on a Sunday morning has impacted lives in the community and further afield
We all continue to pray for Jean in all she does within the church seeking to Honor and Glorify Our Lord

On behalf of the church we would like to thank all who came along to our Annual Carol service last night

From all at the church have a blessed and peaceful Christmas
December 2022
Dear friends;
On behalf of everyone at Easington Lane Independent Methodist
Church, I wish you all a Blessed Christmas and 2023.
I know that for many this Christmas will be tinged with sadness as it may be
the first without a loved one. We pray that you will remember the happiness
you shared with them, the memories you made together in years gone by; and
in their memory make happy memories for those who remain with you.
If you are spending Christmas alone, we pray that you will feel God’s
presence, He is always just a prayer away, and through the Power of His
Spirit, He can fill your heart with love.
Whatever you are doing this Christmas, may we all remember it’s not about all
the parties, the presents, the food, it’s all about Jesus; the babe in the manger
who grew up to be the Man on the Cross, the Man who died so that we could
be forgiven and made worthy to have a relationship with God our Heavenly
Father. If you haven’t already done so, accept this gift so freely given, the gift
of ETERNAL LIFE.
God Bless
Jean

Carol Singing Returns to the Lane
This year saw the reintroduction of Carol Singing on the streets of Easington Lane This Annual ritual started in the early 1900s where members of the church and congregation would deliver the Christmas message through the singing of Carol’s around the village on Christmas Eve
This came to an end in the early 2000s but through the guidance of JAM club leader Kay White the senior members of the Jam Club ( Jesus and Me ) started up this tradition again this year

Easington Lane IM Church
Plaque Dedication

On Sunday 17th March 2019 our Church congregation witnessed Mary Greys unveiling of a plaque which had been bought by the members of Easington Lane IM Church in memory of her husband Syd Grey.
In obedience to God, Syd had faithfully served the church and the local community as a Minister for 54 years.
He planted the seed of God’s love not only by his words but also his actions, and in doing so he gained the love and respect of countless people within the church, the local community and beyond.
Our Church President Jean Merton dedicated the plaque with the prayer that when future generations look at it, and enquire about Syd, that his life will be an inspiration to them so that as he did during his life, the memory of Syd will continue to bring honour and glory to God.
Syd will always be in our memories
