2023
Dear Friends,
On behalf of all the congregation at Easington Lane IM Church, I would like to wish you a blessed Easter.
While you enjoy the holiday, the hot-cross buns, Easter-eggs etc. I pray you will remember the true meaning of Easter. It is the greatest event in history; the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Through the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross at Calvary, our sins can be forgiven and our relationship with God be restored; by His resurrection we know He has conquered death, and the gates of heaven have been opened to all who believe and trust in Him.
May you all know and live by this great truth.
You are always welcome to join with us at any of our services, if you don’t live near us, I am sure there will be a church near to you that will give you a warm welcome.
HAPPY EASTER
God Bless
Jean
The Lord the Shepherd of His People
A Psalm of David.
23
The Lord is my shepherd;
I shall not want.
He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil;
My cup runs over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord
Forever.
Battle Cry
In Christ alone my hope is found,
He is my light, my strength, my song;
This Cornerstone, this solid Ground,
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm.
What heights of love, what depths of peace,
When fears are stilled, when strivings cease!
My Comforter, my All in All,
Here in the love of Christ I stand.
In Christ alone! – who took on flesh,
Fullness of God in helpless babe.
This gift of love and righteousness,
Scorned by the ones He came to save:
Till on that cross as Jesus died,
The wrath of God was satisfied –
For every sin on Him was laid;
Here in the death of Christ I live.
There in the ground His body lay,
Light of the world by darkness slain:
Then bursting forth in glorious day
Up from the grave He rose again!
And as He stands in victory
Sin’s curse has lost its grip on me,
For I am His and He is mine –
Bought with the precious blood of Christ.
No guilt in life, no fear in death,
This is the power of Christ in me;
From life’s first cry to final breath,
Jesus commands my destiny.
No power of hell, no scheme of man,
Can ever pluck me from His hand:
Till He returns or calls me home,
Here in the power of Christ I’ll stand.
