It is with great sadness I announce the death of Jean Mills. Jean was our Church Treasurer, and W.A. Secretary. She died suddenly but peacefully at her home on Dec 2nd. She was a much loved and respected member of our church, and was well-known by members of the W.A’s within our Circuit.

Although through ill-health she has been unable to be with us in a physical sense over the last 2 years, she was always with us in a spiritual sense. She was a great encourager and prayer warrior; she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Kenneth, Lorraine, Gary and all her extended family and friends.

Jean is now safe in the keeping of the Master she loved and served so faithfully.

God Bless

Jean

It is with great sadness we announce the death of our much loved sister Ann Pringle. Ann died peacefully at home on Nov 7th. A gifted musician, Ann served as our church organist and choir leader for 50 years. She was also a member of our W.A [holding the position of treasurer] and our C.E. She attended Sunday School from a very young age and for 50 years, taught and inspired countless children as a Sunday School teacher; she also served as the Sunday School secretary and trained the children for the Annual Eisteddfod. Under her guidance our children’s choir had some degree of success. For many years she served the Sunderland Circuit on the Y.P.Committee. To say she will be sadly missed is a great under-statement, but we rejoice in the knowledge she is now with Jesus whom she loved and served so faithfully. Our thoughts and prayers are with her beloved husband Bill, and all Ann’s family. Church Returns

Our church President and Minister welcomed the congregation of the church back tonight following 14 weeks of closure due to the Corona pandemic

All guidelines set out by the government and our Connexion were strictly adhered to and all who attended were richly blessed by Jeans message

Jeans Message. 28th June 2020

I pray that you are keeping well. We praise and thank God that restrictions are slowly being lifted.

As from July 5th 2020 we will be holding our Sunday evening service in the church at 5-30pm.

We have done a risk assessment and put in place all that is required to make it a safe environment. Obviously with social distancing rules, numbers allowed in will be limited, however we will be able to accommodate at least 30.

Obviously we understand some of you for various reasons will still be unable to attend, so we will continue to send out service sheets for the foreseeable future.

It is our hope to continue our mid-week Zoom meeting, if anyone who has a smart phone, i-pad or computer, wishes to join with us, please contact Amelia our church secretary on 01915269107.

Take care and I hope to see some of you soon.

God Bless

Jean.

21st June 2020

I pray that you are feeling fine and that you are continuing to cope with the restrictions that are still in place. Every week things are changing, and I pray that it won’t be too long before services are able to resume in our church buildings.

While there is something in all of us that just wants to get back to the way we were, I hope that through this pandemic, we may have learnt new ways to worship, new ways to support one another, new ways in which to serve God, and that under God’s leadership, when this pandemic is finally over, we will make changes that will benefit the spread of the Gospel.

My thoughts and prayers continue to be with you, if you wish to talk don’t hesitate to call me.

God Bless

Yours in His Service

Jean xx
